Run Strong and Long - progressing from 10km
Can you run a 10km trail, or maybe more, but would like to take on a longer distance at good pace? Are you looking for a friendly, fun group to run with? This is the training course for you.
We all find it difficult to keep going and not walk a bit when our heads get a little overwhelmed by the effort. We stop enjoying the trail and the journey. Over 4 weeks we will train our mind and our body to address this challenge. After 4 weeks you will be ready to tackle a 12 km (approx) social run with us in (location tbc), and you will feel ready to explore this distance on your own and take on more in the future.
With the support of an experienced personal trainer and the group you will overcome your doubts and enjoy the run. You will have the confidence to take on New trails and challenges every time you run.
Our friendly coach will lead a weekly session, give you a simple training plan, talk about goals. The Group will keep you motivated through What'sApp chat and meeting up for runs outside the sessions with the coach. We will talk about shoes and kit! We also have a private FB group for chat and advice from more experienced runners.
We'll meet in the field behind The Coffee Lodge, 69B Braid Rd, EH10 6JF.
Each session will be around 60 mins apart from the last session which will be around 2 hours
Start date: Wednesday 2 June at 9.15am, ends on 23rd June
- £68 for 4 sessions (5 hours) with a coach, training plan, WhatsApp group. Your sessions will end on Wednesday 23rd June
